EPA’s Inventory Update Report (IUR) regulation under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) requires manufacturers and importers of chemical substances that are listed on the TSCA Inventory, to submit an Inventory Update Report (Form U) if they manufactured 25,000 lbs or more of a listed chemical substance during the reporting year (2005). On September 6, 2006 EPA amended its Inventory Update Reporting (IUR) regulation at 40 CFR Part 710, to allow electronic submission of the inventory update report, beginning November 6, 2006: http://ecfr.gpoaccess.gov/cgi/t/text/text-idx?c=ecfr&sid=43481858b18be

EPA is issuing new software “eIUR,” for preparing Inventory Update Reports. Reporting companies will be able to submit information regarding their chemicals online via EPA's Central Data Exchange (CDX), on CD ROM, or by paper. The reporting form, instructions, guidance, and software are available on EPA’s web site: http://www.epa.gov/oppt/iur/
